Risk disclosure

Copy trading can lose money. This page says how, in plain terms. Read it before you fund an account, not after.

You can lose what you put in

Positions mirrored into your account are real market positions. A losing trade reduces your balance in the same proportion it reduces the desk’s. Fund an account only with money you could lose entirely without changing how you live.

Past results are not a forecast

A published return describes trades that already closed, under conditions that have already passed. Nothing about it obliges the next trade to behave the same way, and a long winning run does not make the next loss smaller.

Markets move without warning

Crypto trades every hour of the week and reacts to news instantly. Price can jump straight through the level anyone expected to exit at, so a loss can be larger than a calm chart makes it look.

Concentration is a risk of its own

A desk with a narrow market focus rises and falls with that market. Copying several desks that trade the same handful of assets spreads far less risk than the number of desks suggests.

The desk decides the timing

You control how much, not when. Once a copy is active, entries and exits follow the desk’s judgement, and a position can open at a moment you would never have chosen yourself.

Stopping does not undo a loss

Stopping a copy releases the part of your allocation that has not been used. It does not reverse trades that have already closed, and it does not refund a loss that has already been taken.

Technology fails sometimes

Price feeds, networks and exchanges have outages. A quote can arrive late or an action can be delayed, and in a fast market a delay has a cost that lands on the position, not on the platform.

Transfers are final

On-chain transfers cannot be reversed. An address that is wrong by one character sends funds somewhere nobody can recall them from. That is why withdrawals go only to addresses you registered in advance.

Rules differ where you live

Digital assets are regulated differently from one country to the next. Being allowed to trade them where you live, and declaring what you owe on what you make, is yours to handle.

No advice is given here

BoltCopy publishes data and carries out what you choose to copy. Nothing on the platform is a recommendation, and nobody here knows your circumstances, your obligations or what you can afford.
